20 chairmanship, 58 councillorship APC aspirants to be screened in Oshodi-Isolo

No fewer than 20 chairmanship and 58 councillorship aspirants preparing to contest for the local council election under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) would under party’s screening commencing on Saturday, May 15.

The aspirants have all purchased and submitted their forms in accordance with the party’s directive.

In Oshodi-Isolo LG, 12 people are battling for the chairmanship party ticket while 26 are struggling for the party’s councillorship ticket to occupy the seven councillorship positions in the local council.

In Isolo LCDA, six aspirants have summited their forms to contest for the party’s chairmanship ticket while 17 would be screened for the six councillorship positions.

Only two aspirants are jostling for the party’s ticket to occupy the chairmanship position of Ejigbo LCDA while 15 have purchased the party’s forms to be screened for the six councillorship positions.

Following the conclusion of form purchase and submission on Tuesday, the party at the state level has announced that screening of the aspirants would commence on Saturday, May 15, 2021.

The exercise will hold at the State Secretariat of the party for Chairmanship aspirants and Local Government party offices for Councillorship aspirants.

The State Secretary of the Party, Hon. Lanre Ogunyemi, who gave this hint also mentioned that 332 Chairmanship aspirants are expected to be screened while 1,053 Councillorship aspirants will undergo the screening exercise across the state.

On the whole, 1,387 aspirants are expected to be screened.

The exercise will end on Friday, May 21, 2021, appeals on screening will start on Saturday, May 22and end on Wednesday May 26, 2021.

The primary elections holds on Saturday, May 29, 2021 and appeals on the primaries will be heard between Monday, May 31 and Wednesday, June 1, 2021.

The State Secretary of the party said the party intends to adhere strictly to its set-out timelines in conformity with LASIEC timetable.
