As part of its programme to mark its third anniversary, Isokan Development Association ( CDA) Charity, Oshodi, is preparing to train 100 students on latest educational model of learning as well as skill acquisition.
According to the association, the students from Primary 4 to SSS 3, who are to be drawn from both public and private schools in the community, would be engaged in Computer skill acquisition, Numeracy, Literacy and bottle Craft work.
The CDA chairman, Mr. Kazeem Fawole said the association would make sure that all the seven streets under the CDA are fully involved in the training as students must come from each street.
He said the association is putting up the training to make up for the lost time by the students during the lockdown as a way of re-energising them and boosting their level of studies after the set back caused by Covid-19 pandemic.
He stated that the teachings of the day would be focused on how to bridge the learning gaps, with the help of an educational instructor, Segun Ilori, who would handle the students according to their classes.
The training, he said, would be held on November 17 between 9am and 4pm, adding that each participant would be given study packs.
“Awareness has already commenced. Before the D day, the seven streets in the community would be informed with the use of public address system to bring their wards to the training venue at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Afariogun street. The selection of the beneficiaries would bedone accordingly,” he said.
